活動簡介:
永續發展教育(Education for Sustainable Development, ESD)旨在培育人們對人類社會之經濟、生態與公義的長遠未來進行決策的能力。為要實現這目標,世界各國在過去十數年裡,陸續嘗試將永續發展概念融入一般教育內容中,並已得到兩者相輔相成的珍貴成果。
而既然永續發展概念自始以來便積極呼籲人們檢視與分辨「無法持續」與「可能持續」的人類發展模式與生活型態,因此,以這概念為基礎的永續發展教育,就無可避免地也要面對許多因著對發展模式與生活型態抱持不同價值觀所產生的爭議議題。這樣,永續發展教育的推 動者們該如何面對這些爭議議題呢?為此,本工作坊特別邀請到專精於此課題的國內外學者,進行學理探討與經驗分享, 為永續發展教育在臺灣的成功實踐,增添助力。
Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) aims to prepare people for the complex world of economics, ecology and justice. Hence, for the past decade, the idea of sustainable development has been universally and widely incorporated in school education and both have benefited enormously from the alliance.
Inasmuch as the idea of sustainable development has, since the beginning, called for people to examine and identify the sustainable development and lifestyles, the ESD is ineluctably faced with the debates related to different development models and lifestyles and the values behind them. The question is, how shall the proponents of the ESD react to those issues? In order to reinforce the implementation of the ESD, scholars at home and aboard are invited to this workshop to address these matters by exploring the theoretical aspects and sharing practical experience.
