Call for Presentations and your Participation!!
Chinese Society for Environmental Education (CSEE) is a national non-governmental organization in Taiwan formally founded on February 27, 1993. CSEE works on formal, nonformal, and informal Environmental Education for all sectors of the society, and promotes quality on infusion of EE in school education system, outdoor learning, capacity building, and the relevant research etc.
The vision of CESS is "to mitigate the degradation of the human and natural environment and to empower people’s actions for building a sustainable future.” Thus, CSEE’s mission includes 5 themes: academic development, publications, outreach services, professional training, and international cooperation.
Since 1991, the pioneer of Chinese Society for Environmental Education (CSEE) has started holding annual conference. Each year focuses on different theme and inviting people from interdisciplinary fields of academia and practices to participate. Until 1995, CSEE shifted the orientation to get involved international affairs and began inviting people from overseas to participate the conference.
Since 2008, CSEE sequentially signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with environmental education societies/associations of North America (in 2008), Japan (in 2009), and South Korea (in 2015) to promote the international communications and collaboration. In 2015, CSEE initiated the forum on East Asian Environmental Education, and invited the heads of the societies to visit CSEE annual conference. During the meeting, all parties agree that the English Session in the conference shall be encouraged for the EE partners from either East Asia or other countries being able to share the newest and current research/practices of EE in different regions.
We, herein, sincerely look forward to receiving English Proposals from you, in order to make the English Session more active and valuable. Hope to see you in Taipei!
